About the club

Membership information

The Tennessee Eastman Hiking and Canoeing Club (TEHCC) is open to employees, retirees and their families. Employees and retirees must also be ERC members.

Those not associated with Eastman are called program affiliates and are welcome to participate in all club activities. 

Employees
Annual dues for employees are $5 on top of the $5 to join ERC. 

Retirees
Two options:

1. Retirees can elect to receive a monthly email containing a link to the electronic version of the newsletter on this website. This option requires no dues.
2. Retirees residing in the U.S. can elect to receive a hardcopy newsletter. In this case, annual fees are $8.

Program affiliates

Annual dues are $10 for program affiliates. Please print and complete the registration form and submit it with your dues.

Program affiliates can elect to receive a monthly email containing a link to the electronic version of the newsletter. Program affiliates residing in the U.S. can elect to receive a hard-copy newsletter.

Please print an activity release form for non-Eastman employees that are attending outside events.

Retirees and program affiliates can join or renew their membership by printing and completing the renewal form. Make checks payable to Eastman Recreation Club and mail to:

Equipment rental

The rental equipment is located at the recreation office and is available for reservation one month in advance by calling 423-229-3771. 
 
Tent rentals are limited to two per family, and backpacks are limited to one per family member each outing.  
 
Only ERC/TEHCC members may reserve, pick up and return the rental equipment. When reserving equipment, please use the ID number indicated to the left of the equipment list. Click the following link to view a list of rental equipment. You may ask to see the TEHCC equipment photo album located at the Eastman Recreation office.

Newsletters

TEHCC’s monthly newsletter highlights scheduled events, trip reports, membership news and other items of interest. Newsletters are published on the first day of each month. To contribute an article, contact the newsletter editor. Submissions are due by the 15th each month.
