I want to thank everyone for such a great turnout for the 2020 Eastman Open Tennis Tournament. This tournament is a collaborative effort with Eastman Recreation, Susan B. Coleman Foundation, Kingsport Parks and Recreation, and META Tennis. Below is a list of reminders:
- All participants will have to read and sign the Covid 19 Waiver/Statement Form prior to playing each day. Your safety is our main concern so remember the following statements put out by the USTA Covid 19 Tennis Safety Guidelines:
- Try to stay six feet apart from other players.
- When playing doubles, coordinate with your partner to maintain physical distance.
- Avoid touching your face after handling a ball, racket or other equipment.
- Don't share drinks or towels and be sure to clean your equipment.
- Use your racket/foot to pick up balls and hit them to your opponent.
- Maintain physical distancing if changing end of the court. Remain apart from other players when taking a break.
- After the match is over, acknowledge your opponent but keep your physical distance.
- Water and light snacks will be available to players at the court.

- Tournaments brackets will be located at the courts that is being played on. Either Borden Tennis Courts or DB Tennis Courts.

- Any unpaid entry fees can be paid on the day you play.
- Restrooms will be available at each location.
- Cleaning stations will be available at the courts.
- Players waiting to play or someone who is watching a match may want to bring a chair to seat in so we can practice social distancing.
