Eastman Recreation brings employees, retirees, contractors and their families together in Kingsport, Tennessee, to enjoy the beautiful Appalachian Mountains and meet new friends with similar interests. Our club memberships offers access to athletics, outdoor adventures, events, discounts and more.

Join Eastman Recreation

Eastman employees, contractors and retirees are eligible to join or update their memberships.

Eastman employees pay $5 per year through annual payroll deductions. Dues are waived for new employees who join in the same year in which they are hired. New recreation passes are emailed at the beginning of each year.

Eastman contractors pay $45 per year and come to the recreation office in the Toy F. Reid Employee Center to pay fees. Recreation passes are issued at that time. 

Eastman retirees receive free lifetime memberships. Dependent passes are issued on request.

Athletics

Eastman employees, retirees, contractors and their families can enjoy a variety of team sports. These leagues promote fun, competitive play to build relationships within the Eastman community. Athletics opportunities include:

Our special activity clubs are available to all active employees, surviving spouses, alumni and contractors. They are normally low-key recreational and social clubs with a common interest. Clubs are primarily noncompetitive and offer many exciting opportunities for socialization, fun and activity. These clubs include:

How is a new club established?

New clubs are formed when an employee presents the idea to Eastman Recreation and at least 50 eligible individuals express interest in joining. The club presents guidelines and processes for membership, membership dues, officer appointments, etc. Once approved, a recreation staff member is assigned to provide guidance for the club and its activities.

Bays Mountain Recreation Area

We can accommodate group picnics and birthday parties. Or if you just need a place to get away and enjoy the creek, we have a spot for you. We offer covered picnic shelters, playgrounds, a softball field, a basketball court, three volleyball courts, several shuffleboard courts and horseshoe pits.
